General Introduction
Numerical solution of real time system (weather, ocean, ... ) requires the estimation of initial condition as well as uncertain parameters. Data assimilation provides the theoretical framework to construct an appropriate description of the system knowing observations. The main difficulty for learning data assimilation is that this thematic is in between of mathematics, physic and computer science. The goal of this course is to present a first introduction to data assimilation.
